MAYBE it was a sign.
Two days after I include Tommy Grav in my list of best ever foreign signings for the blues, and the mad-arse Dane is back in Royal Blue.

Like most people I was sucker-punched by this move and it took me 24 hours to take a view.
After his winning cameo at the Reebok I’m now firmly in the ‘shrewd bit of business’ verging on a no-brainer.
I did a story once on a lad who did a lot of driving for Joseph Yobo and subsequently spent loads of time with the 04/05 squad.
He said the man nick-named Mad-Dog was the most popular lad in the dressing room by far and although never captain, a real leader on the pitch and party animal off it.
Lest we forget too, that Tommy broke into Read Madrid’s first team and looked a comfortable Galactico until the usual fickle selection policies at the Bernabu left him benched.
I’m looking forward to Man U now and seeing him spread more of those perfect weighted passes for AJ to burst onto.
On other news, me and fellow Echo blue Tom Regan were probably among many bluenose saddos sat up until midnight on Friday watching the man with two mobiles on Sky Sports news.
On Riquelme? No decent gossip to serve up I’m afraid. Only what you’ve already probably heard; he did speak to us, wanted silly money, and didn’t really fancy England anyway.
Obviously signing him would have been amazing, but part of me would have wondered why Chelsea, Arsenal and Co didn’t want a sniff.
