IT WOULD seem it’s not only Alan Stubbs who has got foot-in-mouth fever before the big game tomorrow.
Despite legions of smug Reds smirking at Stubb’s goading, one of their own has had a pop (admittedly in his recently released book, but he must have agreed the timing of these quotes).

Lurch (pictured on his way to Garlands, above) says, ‘I don't think anybody watching would say we were three goals worse than they were, although on the day Everton were probably the better side.
‘Thankfully we win the majority of derby games, but when Everton do win, they tend to rub it in a lot more than we ever do.
‘The Liverpool lads couldn't believe it when we found out that days after the game, Everton had rushed out a DVD of the match and were selling it in the club shop.
‘They even had their players signing copies of it. It was obviously a big moment for them.’
And this coming from the player who brought a book out after scoring three goals against Trinidad and was benched for the biggest game of his career so far in Athens.
Anyone else think it was class when he was humiliated by Gordon Ramsay on Celebrity Hell's Kitchen too?
Either way, the abuse has been spat out, the banter smashed around and the comments have been as cutting as a two-footed career-ending Gerrard lunge.
It’s just down to an early night and then getting on the ale when you’d normally be getting the kettle on tomorrow.
Derby day. You just can’t beat them.

One question.
In the highly unlikely event of Liverpool winning 3-0 at Goodison tomorrow do you think Rick Parry would be rushing a DVD out?
