A CERTAIN Scotty Road AJ look-a-like has just texted me a couple of times from Nuremberg.

Text 1) This is amazing mate. Never experienced anything like this in my life. We're everywhere.

Text 2) No trouble at all, a credit to the city. Mixing boss with the Germans and their police are spot on. Just seen a 16 foot Rhy Jones flag go past.

Turns out the Nuremberg box office have been flogging more tickets to our fans today anyway!!?? Bizarre.

It seems like Uefa has waded in unnecessarily and made a problem where there wasn't one.

Meanwhile I'm in work, watching it solo....a low moment and no mistake.

Come on you blues and bring on Alkmaar.

I am not complaining but why has the Echo published potential pro-loop articles in the past fortnight?

You wrote about 71 houses having to be demolished for a new stadium.

HOK have stated that 55,000 seater is available in city centre.

Bestway say that the loop is still available should Kirkby fail.

Finally some 'normal' photos were published of how the Kirkby stadium could look... but one was missing..

Louis,

We are always trying to be balanced in our coverage of the stadium issue and provide both pro and anti articles.

The stories you mention, HOK report and 71 homes etc, all came out within a few days. That's why they went into the paper in quick succession.

While the club ballot ended with a Yes vote there remains a considerable number of fans with massive doubts about Kirkby. It's our duty to represent their feelings as well as those who are excited about the new stadium.
