WEIRD CELEBRATIONS

Posted by Greg O'Keeffe on November 29, 2007 10:34 AM |

SOME of our current crop are bring the show-offy speciality Celebrations back big time.
I'm not moaning. It’s all good - from Yakubu's Super Eagle hands (is that it?) to Pienaar’s camp little wheel away, to Timmy Cahill’s corner-flag jab,cross, jab, hook.

But one in particular did leave me more puzzled than ever.

Andy Johnson strikes me as a down-to-earth, un-flash footballer sort, even a bit shy.
But when it comes to celebrations he's quite the show-man.
We all adored his 3-0 salute to the away fans during last year’s derby. But his self-conscious ‘A’ finger-flash at the Gwladys on Saturday has left a lot of us baffled.

The suggestions on BlueKipper made me laugh;

- Aardvark ?
- I've just put one past the keeper who is an "A" hole?
- AJ and Fitz Hall have started a company to promote 3-a-side street football for kids, its called A star.
- Fitz Hall's clothing company "One Size Fitz Hall" isn't it? AJ and Vaughan must be mates with him.
- Andy (I’ll cringe if it was for this.......)

And my personal favourite...

- F*ckin' A. Soprano's style.

What do you reckon?
