I HOPE it’s freezing cold at Goodison tomorrow. Cold enough so you can see your breath while the team’s warm-up.
I hope the noise builds from very early on and then the roar to Z-Cars lights a fire in Royal Blue bellies and lends extra chill to those in neon.
I hope the Blues are just fired-up enough but not too fast and furious. We need to stick to our plan to avoid being picked off by Chelsea.
Our centre halves, and Phil Jagielka in particular, should take heart from the way they subdued Nicholas Anelka during Bolton’s recent visit.
Granted the Frenchman is a top player who will have better service, but Jagielka should not be intimidated.
It’ll be very hard for us tomorrow, maybe our toughest test yet, but we’ve proven capable of upsetting the odds lately.
With Osman back in the side and Fernandes a strong option from the bench we will pose a few more creative questions of Chelsea than we did in the first leg too.

Meanwhile, I found this pic in the Echo archives. Get on a youthful Moysie rocking the old school Lyle & Scott jumper during his Celtic playing days. I won't say anything about the hair because Charlie Nicholas' mullet is worse.

Get on Moysie looking all smart there. And he's even sporting a polo top underneath...and to think a certain blogger was claiming he invented that combo for town the other week. Now we know he robs his style from big Davey Moyes himself. With a bit of work i think you could pull off the hair as well.
I think we'll come up short tomorrow, the 'cautious' last 15 at SB will be decisive in the tie. Hope I'm wrong.
btw just read your piece with the rapper. You should have pressed him on your "huge blunder, laughing stock" remarks in the Editor's blog.

Greg.. when are the Echo going to publish the full extent of the Kirkby transport plans? It's a farce and what makes it worse is that the average supporter doesn't even know that we are expected to use a park and ride from Aintree Racecourse if we can't find a parking place in Kirkby. You seem like a good lad, you need to bend your boss' ear.

Anon - We will go into the full extent of the traffic plans when they are finalised and give people a chance to have their say. I didn't know about the Aintree racecourse plan to be honest.
