DERBY crying aside. Here's something to cheer us up.
Some of the best one-liners from one of the funniest threads on When Skies Are Grey in ages. Have a look here for the full one (http://everton.rivals.net/FORUM/pgePosts.aspx?boardId=103&clubId=33&threadId=239282&pageNumber=1) which got a staggering 24,927 views and counting.![]()
IT'S a strange and somewhat dislocating experience watching a derby on tele in another city.
My mate Jamie was getting married in Cardiff on Saturday, so for that reason I found myself pulling up a chair and sipping a Corona alongside 12 other besuited scousers of mixed allegiances in a subdued pub just outside the Welsh capital at 12.40pm.
DRAW the curtains, switch off the lights, dig out your copy of the Golden Vision and spend this weekend wallowing under your Amokachi duvet in Royal Blue hibernation.
WE NEED one thing almost as much as victory tonight and it isn't for the Yak (Zac Morris) to lock Screech (Fellaini) in the bogs five minutes before kick-off in a Saved by the Bell style prank, only for Mr Belding (Moyes) to come and let him, out right before the whistle goes.
1) HOW are Standard Liege, Belgian champions, and only-just Champions league drop-outs NOT seeded in the Uefa cup?
They have a proud record of European football, an accomplished squad and manager yet somehow we were able to draw them while Portsmouth and Co drew no-marks.
TONIGHT has come around quick hasn't it?
It only seems like last week we were googling 'Mentalist Kharkiv' or purring like contented kittens over our owning of Larissa.
IT seemed like David Moyes and the Everton board invested a lot of time and effort chasing Rennes midfielder Stephane M.Bia over the summer.
Indeed, his supposed qualities as a midfield general meant we were reportedly keen to pay up to £8m for the previously unheard of Cameroonian.
IT'S ALL been going off in the world of Evertonia recently hey?
Thankfully, I swerved the midnight Sky sports news watching on transfer deadline night for sunnier climes - but missed the last-minute drama of the Fellaini deal.
