IT'S TOO early to say Screech has confounded his critics entirely and suddenly looks a bona-fide £15m player.
BIT of a cop-out blog today I'm afraid. I've been snowed under with stuff for the Echo relaunch and unable to get some consistent blogging going. Don't worry though loyal readers (all four of you), I'll be back in business next week.
In the meantime here's a column I did in the paper today on He Who Must Not Be Mentioned.
Let's hope we get a result at Bolton tonight and sow the seeds of our season's revival.

HERE'S the rational argument; Wayne Rooney is a talented footballer who played for his hometown club before transferring to a richer club for a huge sum of money, which proved very helpful to his first employers.
FINALLY after much dithering, suspense and polite financial wrangling, David Moyes has signed his new contract.
IT was a weekend of rumours and denials surrounding take overs and other such matters.
In the space of an hour on Friday I'd had six texts with a variation on the theme that we were getting taken-over by the Indians sharp-ish.
MILD depression, stagnancy, lack of anything meaningful - no, not my sparse blog these past few weeks, but my feelings on the club I love.
OK, and the blog.
FEED the dog, feed the kids, feed the world, feed the Yak, cook the tea, get in the ale, put up your feet, have a stiff drink, eat some quavers, put on your lucky boxies, and socks, sit in the same seat, in the same corner, in the same room, cross your fingers, and pray, pray, pray.
There's a game tonight. We're going to win it.
Forza Everton.
